President Obama will begin pushes for immigration reform and gun control this month, according to The Huffington Post. Legislative aides told HuffPo that a bipartisan bill could take several months to develop and could possibly come to a vote by June.

According to the link above, President Obama needs to be a leader, keep a clear message, and move quickly.

President Obama has repeatedly been none of those things on many issues (except for deportations where he is the undisputed king) so in other words, immigration reform is going to be a disaster.

“We know that churches and charities can often make more of a difference than a poverty program alone. We don’t want handouts for people who refuse to help themselves, and we don’t want bailouts for banks that break the rules. We don’t think government can solve all our problems. But we don’t think that government is the source of all our problems – any more than are welfare recipients, or corporations, or unions, or immigrants, or gays, or any other group we’re told to blame for our troubles. Because America, we understand that this democracy is ours.”

This is theater at it’s finest, bravo. I don’t doubt for a second that President Obama truly feels this way; however, when you deport over a million immigrants, you should forfeit your ability to use them for this purpose. I don’t care that the other guy believes in something even more ludicrous, “self-deportation”, as of right now your actions have effectively blamed immigrants by a count of over 1,000,000 to zero for Mitt Romney.

I am not a fan.

Obama: ‘Help Us Destroy Jesus And Start A New Age Of Liberal Darkness’

The forced sodomy part was maybe unnecessary but the “Thank you, may Satan reward you all, and may God tremble in fear at the United States of America!” really speaks to me as a voter.

“We don’t need a Spanish-speaking Obama,” said George Rodriguez, president of the conservative South Texas Political Alliance. “We don’t need affirmative action politicians. By that I mean, we need the best-qualified person as well as a person who has the values of America at heart to lead us.”

Univision News Tumblr: Julián Castro: Is the “Latino Obama” ready for the national stage?

Two simple things. First of all using ‘affirmative action’ to describe a politician that’s also a POC is stupid. Affirmative action has/had a purpose and many POC (and white women) are grateful for the one of the few policies that not only acknowledged that there is no level playing field in the United States of America but also actively sought to do something about it in some form. The educational system in the United States of America is, to state it bluntly, sexist and racist. If you have any doubts about that, you haven’t made an effort to learn about it or you have not been listening. Sit down. Second, complaining that Julian Castro does not have “the values of America at heart” is foolish. He graduated from Stanford and earned his law degree at Harvard, you’re not dealing with Ted Kaczynski. To his credit though, George Rodriquez is obviously commenting on something he doesn’t know shit about because Julian does not even speak Spanish. And this thing about “values of America at heart”, whose America and what values?

President Obama’s Oakland campaign headquarter’s last night, it looks nice.

“Other than myself, actually, you know, if it’s anybody, then I’ve got to choose Abraham Lincoln.”
