Re: the biology of race, I'm doing research for a professor regarding the reliability and admissibility of DNA evidence of genomic racial identity. If your University portal gives you access to law review journals, check out "Science Fictions and Racial Fables: Navigating the Final Frontier of Genetic Interpretation," 25 Harvard Blackletter Law Journal 57 (2009). Author is Christian Sundquist (my prof). It's a good overview of why the science of racialized DNA is problematic in a lot of ways.

Hell yeah: Thank you for the recommendation, I located the PDF (38 pages) version without needing to use a university portal.

I also noticed that he (your prof) included a list recommended scholarship [Race & Law], including work by Dorothy Roberts, on “the disturbing intersection of genetics and race in the contemporary world”. He also included Dorothy Roberts’ recent book, reviewed by Anne Fausto-Sterling in this post, as part of his recommended literature.

YOLO, excited to read these tonight.
