Entrance to the now closed Soviet era Genetics Institute in Chisinau, Moldova. Moldova used to be the ‘garden’ of the USSR providing the bulk of wine and fruits to the other Republics. With the demise of the USSR, these centrally planned and budgeted institutions closed their doors. The dogs in front of the entrance are half-wild: I did not dare to get out of the car… [via: Out to Lunch]
